Sicily and Italy: Frequently Asked Questions:
Before booking a call with me to discover the details of this epic journey kindly send me your email address and I'll send the questions I have for you about this incredible Italian adventure.
Do I need to be in shape to walk on this trip?
Yes you'll be comfortable walking on cobblestone streets rolling your luggage and be able to walk up steep steps with your luggage.
But...when we're shooting, we don't move fast. The scenery is stunning and we'll stop often to drink it all in.
Do I have to drink wine? I don't drink.
No, you don't have to drink wine but it will be present at almost every meal. Many people drink wine or beer with lunch or dinner in Italy.
I'm a vegetarian, will I be able to eat well in Italy?
Italians are meat lovers so the menus are slanted towards carnivores but you can find many dishes of fresh pasta without meat and of course the best gelato on earth and vegetarian pizza.
This won't be a light eating trip.
Because Italians make the best food in the world, they teach us how to eat with robust gusto!
Where will we stay?
In Cefalu, we'll stay in the historic center. If you want to book a place in the center I'll advise you on lodging when we speak. Or go ahead and book if you like now.
In Rome, I'll suggest places for you to stay. And different ways to book accommodation. I stay in the Trastevere neighborhood, it's culturally colorful and full of yummy food.
Only 4 participants in this premium hands on adventure.
Where will we go?
Cefalu, a historically rich city with stunning food and swoon-worthy architecture. It's a somewhat hidden seaside gem. We'll take a day trip to Palermo.
Ravishing Rome is a must-do.
You can opt to do one or more workshops with me. Rome, Amalfi Coast, and/or Sicily.
You can take a train, bus, or taxi to Palermo (PMO) to return home
or you can take some more days for yourself and I can make suggestions for you if you like.
Tip: If you're coming to Rome, FCO has the most options for ground transit. Taxi, train, bus.
If you're traveling light, you can easily take the Train from the airport, that's what I do.
If you're flying to Sicily, go to the Palermo International Airport PMO and take a taxi or bus to Palermo Central Train Station to Cefalu.
Or you can overnight in Palermo and take the 50-minute train ride to Cefalu the next day.
